Industrial Automation
A foundation program that takes learners from control wiring basics to PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, VFD commissioning, and documentation for small industrial cells.
Electrical & Control Basics: safety, wiring practices, panel architecture
Sensors & Actuators: discrete/analog devices, valves and cylinders
PLC Fundamentals: scan cycle, addressing, timers/counters, math, edge logic
Advanced PLC Logic: UDTs, arrays, state machines, recipes, alarms
Drives & Motion Basics: parameterization, ramps, braking, simple positioning
HMI & SCADA: tags, popups, trends, alarms, user roles, recipes & reports
Industrial Communication: PROFINET, Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC-UA basics
Documentation & Standards: E-plan basics, IO lists, FAT/SAT
Learning Outcomes
- Design basic control circuits and prepare IO lists and wiring diagrams
- Program PLC logic in Ladder/SCL using timers, counters, interlocks, and state machines
- Develop HMI/SCADA screens with alarms, trends, and recipes
- Commission and troubleshoot VFD-driven motors for speed/torque applications
- Integrate PLCs with devices over PROFINET/Modbus/OPC-UA
- Prepare FAT/SAT documents and handover packs for a complete mini-cell
